Kellie M. Mahoney, Esq. – Attorney
Kellie M. Mahoney received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stony Brook University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in the top 10% of her class. Before being admitted to the New York State Bar, she worked for the Suffolk County Library Resources for the Public Program, assisting Pro Se Litigants to navigate the Court system. She also spent a semester working for a New York State Supreme Court Justice in Suffolk County.
Kellie received her Juris Doctor from Touro Law Center where she graduated with the Cum Laude distinction. She served as Research Editor for the Touro Law Review, where her article “The ‘Legal Stranger’ and Parent: A Love Story?” is currently pending publication in the Touro Law Review. During her time at Touro, she was accepted into the prestigious Pro Bono Scholar Program, which allows dedicated, hardworking law students to take the Bar Examination six months early. After taking the Bar Examination, Kellie spent 12 weeks volunteering at a Suffolk County Pro Bono Legal Services Committee, where she assisted indigent clients with severe mental health diagnoses on a variety of civil matters.
Working with such a diverse group of litigants has helped develop her sense of compassion and patience, two character traits that are crucial to helping Long Island Families through their Divorces and Family Court Proceedings.
